In addition to these physical tasks, a school day porter may also be responsible for managing the inventory, ordering cleaning supplies and equipment, keeping track of maintenance schedules, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order. To be successful in this role, a school-day porter should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good physical stamina. They should also be able to work independently, follow instructions, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should also be able to work during regular business hours, as their job duties are typically limited to the daytime hours.
